If you’ve ever felt frustrated because you understand why you’re struggling but still can’t seem to change, you’re not alone.

Many of the people who come to me have spent years trying to overcome anxiety, depression, stress, trauma, self-sabotaging behaviors, relationship patterns, fears, or unwanted habits. They’ve read books, listened to podcasts, and talked through their challenges, yet something continues pulling them back into the same patterns.

The reason is simple: lasting change doesn’t happen through willpower alone. Real transformation occurs when the subconscious mind—the part of the mind responsible for automatic thoughts, emotions, habits, and behaviors—is engaged in the process.

Craig Meriwether Clinical Hypnotherapist and Medical Hypnosis Specialist

Meet Craig

For more than 15 years, I’ve helped people identify and change the subconscious patterns that may be keeping them stuck so they can create meaningful and lasting change in their lives.

I received my professional training through the Hypnotherapy Academy of America, one of the nation’s most respected hypnotherapy training programs. My education included more than 500 hours of classroom instruction and supervised clinical experience, culminating in my certification as a Medical Hypnosis Specialist. I have also completed more than 200 hours of advanced continuing education in hypnotherapy and Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP).

Using the tools and techniques of clinical hypnotherapy, I help you access the resources of your subconscious mind so you can build confidence, overcome limitations, discover new possibilities, and create meaningful change in your life.

I am also the author of Depression 180: Turn It Around.Wendy Love creator and author of the award-winning blog DepressionGateway.com wrote in her review: “This is one of the best, most thorough books on depression I have read – and I have read most of them. It is the most thorough account of all of the strategies you could possibly employ to manage depression.”

And psychologist Dr. Steven Gurgevich, Clinical Asst. Professor of Medicine at the Center for Integrative Medicine, University of Arizona says, “Craig Meriwether’s book is the most comprehensive and user-friendly resource to help ourselves and loved ones struggling with depression. My Journey Into Hypnotherapy

My fascination with the mind began with a simple question:

How can a person’s beliefs and expectations influence their emotional and physical well-being?

As I explored the science behind the placebo effect, mind-body healing, and the remarkable influence of the subconscious mind, I became increasingly convinced that many of the challenges people face are rooted deeper than conscious awareness.

That curiosity eventually led me to become a clinical hypnotherapist and dedicate my career to helping others access the powerful resources already within them.

Today, I continue to study and integrate the latest developments in hypnotherapy, neuroscience, psychology, and subconscious transformation to provide clients with effective, personalized support.

What It’s Like to Work With Me

Many people are curious about hypnosis but aren’t sure what to expect.

Hypnosis is not mind control, and it isn’t like what you see in stage hypnosis shows. During hypnosis, you remain aware of your surroundings and cannot be made to do anything against your will.

My approach is collaborative, respectful, and tailored to your unique goals. Every session is customized to your specific needs, experiences, and objectives.

Whether we meet in person or over Zoom, my goal is to create a safe, supportive environment where meaningful change can occur.

My Philosophy

I don’t believe people are broken.

Over the years, I’ve found that most emotional struggles, unwanted habits, and self-defeating patterns originally developed for a reason. At some point, they served a purpose—even if they no longer do today.

Rather than fighting against yourself, true transformation often comes from understanding and changing the subconscious patterns that are driving the behavior.

My role is not to “fix” you. My role is to help you access your own inner resources, create new possibilities, and move toward the life you want to live.
